Hindustani Classical vocalist
Ghulam Hasan Khan is an eminent young Hindustani classical vocalist belonging to the 200 year old Rampur – Sahaswan Gharana which owes its allegiance to Miyan Tansen’s tradition.
He was initiated into music at a tender age of 3 years by his father Ustad Ghulam Abbas Khan, a vocalist of international repute. Helater trained under the worthy guidance of his late grandfather PadmashriUstad Ghulam Sadiq Khan, who was one of the finest Hindustani classical vocalists of India.
Gifted with the sonorous and mellifluous voice, Ghulam Hasan Khan specializes in Khayal style which highlights the systematic ‘Badhat’ of Raga, intricate and graceful fast ‘Sapat’ Taans of full three octaves. Smooth Meend and well knitted Sargam patterns, artistically intertwined with rhythmic designs. Apart from Khayal, he also renders Thumri, Tarana, Ghazal, Geet, Sufi and Bhajan with equal ease and dexterity. His mastery of all aspects tonal variations, dynamics and timbre adjustment leave very little to be desired in the realm of voice culture.

Ghulam Hasan Khan participated in Almost every major concerts in India.
Among his most prominent performances was the special concert held at Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House) in 2007 in the esteemed presence of the former Honorable President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Ghulam Hasan Khan is also arecognised Hindustani Classical artist internationally. In 2009, he was invited to perform in Hong Kong University as a young Indian Talent. Another memorable concert was held in 2015, where he performed in the presence of the royalty of Bhutan on the occasion of the Indian Republic Day. He has been regularly performing in countries like Singapore,Thailand,Malaysia,Australia,UK, Nepal,Hong Kong to name a few.
Ghulam Hasan Khan is a graded artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan since 2018. He is also an empanelled artist of ICCR (Indian council for cultural relations) since 2017. He also received 'SARVAPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN NATIONAL AWARD' in the year 2017 in the field of Hindustani classical music.
Having his talent acknowledged by several prestigious cultural organisations, he holds scholarships from Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi andrecently received a scholarship from NCPA, Mumbai.
Currently, Ghulam Hasan Khan is a Senior consultant at T-SERIES Stageworks Academy, Noida. He also runs UGSK Academy, Delhi, a school of music established in memory of his legendary grandfather Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan where he trains several students in his ancient art, thereby continuing the great legacy of Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.
